The Indianapolis Media Loves the New Colts Canal Playspace!

The Colts Canal Playspace opened with a grand celebration on November 8th. Along with the kids, families, sponsors, and planners, the ribbon-cutting ceremony garnered a fantastic attendance from the Indianapolis media who covered the event throughout the day. We’re sure they took a little time to play too!!!
Recreation inSites would like to thank them all for covering the event, and promoting play in Indianapolis!!!

“The Indy Parks Foundation works to make parks the best they can be, and to elevate parks to the level they can be here in Indianapolis, and this is a perfect example of that.”

“PARENTS, do yourselves—and your kids—a favor and visit the new “COLTS CANAL PLAY SPACE.” It is an AMAZING playground!”

Jim Irsay - Owner, Indianapolis Colts

“Great cities need great public spaces. They need playgrounds to promote healthy play and interaction between children from every neighborhood. I believe public spaces like this one can help foster an Indianapolis that is even better than we are today.”

Joe Hogsett - Mayor, Indianapolis

“The Colts Canal Playspace was definitely worth the wait. The canal is an important and vibrant place for our city.”

Linda Broadfoot - Director, Indy Parks

“Playgrounds are one of the few places open to children that are not limited by income. Rich and poor kids can all meet, play and learn from one another.”
